" A Phytophiliac's Chronicle Of Dying Daisies"

Well, "Phytophiliac" refers to someone with an affinity for plants. This book is a narrative non-fiction, a true story that reads like a fictitious journal or a "chronicle " of adventures and misadventures.
Now for the "dying daisies" aspect;
I use cut flowers to depict short lived, casual relationships, and potted plants to depict long term, serious ones.
A substantial theme throughout the novel is navigating my feelings on these two types of relationships and the pros and cons that come with each.
I mostly maintain that I much prefer cut flowers, like daisies, because even if they wilt and die quickly, they are beautiful for a time and I'm free to enjoy their fading beauty without the pressure of keeping them alive or the heartbreak when they wither away. Because no matter what you do, no one can keep a daisy alive for long. They're supposed to die, and that's ok.
The wistful allure to a real plant , a potted plant , of my own - however- proves both annoyingly continual and disappointingly predictably futile. Potted plants require work, and I don't mind that actually. What I do mind- what I hate- is pouring my heart and soul into keeping something alive , to nurturing it to thrive in everyway possible, and then years later helplessly watching it wither away to a mere pot of dirt... of watching something that in theory had potential to be beautifully eternal, prove to be nothing more than a waste of time , love and effort.
So what's a girl to do? Keep idealistically digging in the dirt? Or merely resolve herself to a lifetime full of dying daisies?

"A chronicle of passion, heartache, adventure, lust, pain and learning a deeper understanding of what love is and isn't... A literary twist on an auto biography. A raw yet defiantly optimistic take on the life, attempts at "love" and adventures of Passiflora Incarnata, told in her refreshingly honest, darkly humorous and conversationally poetic tone. Kink, abuse, family hurdles and cultural norms- this book is full of some controversial but also some very relatable topics. "
Hey there ,
I go by Passiflora incarnata; yeah , that's right- I go by the scientific name of a passionflower ;)
I started writing when I was 15, was an editor and a columnist by 17 and started putting my 1st book together by 24.
That 1st book? Well it's this one.
Since then, I've published 4 others under this pen name (see the section below for more info on those) and one under an alternate name (but I'll never tell ). This all kind of makes me giggle, because I never thought I'd write a book, much less 6, but life is weird like that...
No seriously, like life has gotten progressively weirder, which certainly makes for an entertaining read-
or so I hear; you're welcome to give it a try and see for yourself (in addition to the "get the book" section above, you can see "the additional places to catch me" section for additional places to get your copy or peruse in person and online.).
I'm still figuring out how to feel about my autobiographical works being stocked in the horror and thriller section, but c'est la vie.
This is the second website I've had to make because, as you'll see, I've pissed off some seriously shitty people with above average hacking skills by calling them out in my books ( *oops*).
As for me? I enjoy a solid gin and tonic with lime or a goblet of red wine with blues or grunge rock (Nirvana is a fave ). I love knee socks, converse, my docks, cut off skirts , the smell of amaretto, a well worn book or hoodie, brushed velvet, Dahlias and Gerbera daisies, running by the ocean, cats,
and good ole poetic justice ;)
